Ramjee yubak Shangha is a leading voluntary organization (Society) initiated in the year 1967 by some of the like minded people. In order to organize the existing youth power & engage them in social welfare activities, later on during the year 1974, it was registered under the society registration Act XXI of 1860   bearing    Registration

No.8225/578 of 1974 -75. The society has also been registered u /s 12A, 80G and 10(23C) VI of the IT Act.

The sangha is mainly working in the field of socio-economic development of the weaker section of the people, Community Development Programme, Health Programme, Personal Hygiene, First Aid, Women & Child Development Programme, National Child Labuor Programme, Nursery and Plantation on General Species & Medicinal Plants, Income Generating Programme. Along with the aforesaid activities, the Sangha has undertaken the certificate courses to create technical man power who will be an asset for the socio-economic development of the area.

From the year 2000-01 RYS is running one of the well-know technical institution called SUSHREE INSTITUTE OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION (SITE). The institution is approved by AICTE and recognized by the Department of Industry and the Directorate of Technical Education of Government of Orissa. The SITE has gained long experience in campus education in technical area and follows all necessary norms and conditions laid by the AICTE and the State Government.

After the successful implementation of Diploma Engineering, the Sangha decided to open one School of Nursing i.e. the “Diploma Course of Nursing” and “ A College of Nursing”. The Diploma Course in Nursing is called “General Nursing &Midwifery” (GNM) and the Degree Course in Nursing is called B.Se. Nursing. All the institutes have been certified by ISO 9001 : 2000.

The Indian Nursing Council (INC) New –Delhi has approved both the school of Nursing with 40 seats and College of Nursing with 40 seats. The aforesaid courses have been approved by the INC on the recommendation of the Government of Orissa in Health & Family Welfare Department.
